On the first Friday after all the requirements for the restaurants and bars
from the goverment and local government were lifted, the number of people
passing through the main concourse of Sendai Station was almost as same as
October 1, the day the
stronger measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus were finished.
The JR Joban Line (Local line) was delayed on the night, and therefore,
information from JR was frequently announced at the station.
The number of people passing through the Free Pass was also as same as
October 1. However,
not so many people sat on the benches on the pass and only about half of the
benches were occupied.
