While the Omicron variant of covid-19 in the news, the illumination display
event called "SENDAI Pageant of Starlight" were held on a reduced scale.
The night I recorded this sound was Christmas eve on Friday, and so many
people were gathering on the street. A little before 7 o'clock at night,
all the illumination were turned off once. Just 7 o'clock, all the
illumination were turned on, and people shouted with pleasure. In this
situation, the sound of a bell of begging bonze eminently resounded.
