Don-do Yaki festival was held at Gokoku Shrine as usual. Don-do Yaki festival
is a new year event that new year's ornaments and old talismans are burned.

|
This year, I visited this festival at a weekday, because of my schedule. In
spite of a weekday, many worshipers visited this shrine. While I recorded the
sounds, there were always some worshipers around the fire.

A handout advertising this festival described "Decontamination work was
completed!" I asked a fire keeper whether a number of visitors increases
because of the completion of the decontamination work. He answered "People can
come without anxiety, therefore, I think maybe a little bit more worshipers
came this year... At least, I think more worshipers came this year than
the year just after the
quake."

Recorded Gagaku music was played through PA Speakers, similar to the last year.

|
I wish you a happy new year.
