Ducks and swans have flown to the Abukuma river near Kotori no Mori (Forests for birds).

Until a few years ago, a crowd of ducks and swans came to here because people
fed bread and rice to them. But when bird flu problem occured, Fukushima city
administration requested not feed to ducks and swans. After that, the numbers
of ducks and swans have decreased.

I have visited here every winter because I love ducks. In my impression,
ducks (especially pintails) became unfriendly since people stopped feeding
to them.
